Summer of Fun

During the holiday period we have held nearly 4 weeks of activities for families to attend. These included coffee, cake and chat sessions, family film time showing films like ‘Mary Poppins Returns’, ‘Dumbo’ and ‘Paddington 2’. We held an ‘Arty Party’ which saw lots of different ways to make art! We even went on an adventure making crafts such as binoculars, safari hats, meeting snakes and mermaids along the way and eventually leaving in a space rocket!

Next up was a Superhero party where training was given before making capes and masks and many more crafts. A ladies’ pamper night was enjoyed by a few; the ladies able to use face masks, paint their nails, put on tattoos and colour their hair whilst enjoying watching a film with pizza and a chocolate fountain. We finished the activities with a summer disco which had plenty of great tunes and disco lights along with food! I think the most successful events were the film evenings were a mixed audience watched ‘The Greatest Showman’ and ‘Mamma Mia 2’. These films went down so well that it may be worth repeating on a regular basis as a social evening. I would like to finish by saying a big thank you to all those who helped me at the events; without you this summer couldn’t have happened. Thank you.
