Harking back to our Christmas issue and the tribute to Arnold Barker, we shouldn’t forget this verse which Brian Sumner once wrote in appreciation of Arnold and his good works:

NO WINGS

Arnold is cast in angelic mould,

Great goodness doth his soul enfold.

He comes here every week:

"Any jobs?" he doth seek.

I am watching for his wings to unfurl.
