Sickness: In the last few months a number of our church family have been unwell, several have been in hospital and others continue to experience serious illness. We assure them all of our love and prayers. Congratulations: Two members of the magazine production team, Roy Smith, our Editor, and his wife Dorothy, celebrated their 55th (Emerald) wedding anniversary on 11th August and John Butterworth, who does the magazine computer layout, reached his ‘threescore years and ten’ on 30th August. Unfortunately, he had to give up his minibus driving. (More driver volunteers would be welcome!) Also, on 9th September, Joyce and Allan Clarke celebrated their 65th (Blue Sapphire) wedding anniversary! Prayer - If you have a person for whom you would like us to pray, their name can be circulated around our prayer chain - information to Judith Harvey 787500 or e-mail: judith.harvey44@sky.com There is a prayer book on the table in the prayer corner of the church for anyone to write in their prayer requests. These prayers are then used in our Communion Service on a Wednesday morning. |
