Weekly meditation for all

As the restrictions due to Covid19 continue, it's been encouraging to see the new ways of keeping connected that have been created, including ways of worshipping. I have myself been practicing and leading guided Christian meditation for a number of years, and so as part of this move to on-line provision, I have been holding a 30 min meditation via Zoom on a Monday evening. As we continue with restrictions, the signs are that there will be an increase in anxiety and stress. I'd therefore like to extend the welcome to join this weekly session to all of our circuits. Below is a form of wording that you might use in publicising this offering.

Meditation may deepen one's experience of the presence of God, enhance self-awareness, and reduce stress and anxiety, valuable during this time of isolation.

Join a half-hour Zoom ‘guided meditation’ session, led by Peter Lumsden (local preacher in the Clitheroe circuit), every Monday evening at 7 p.m..

The sessions follow a pattern of 15 mins of spiritual reflection, combined with a focus on breathing, leading into a period of about 15 mins of silence.
